Software
specifications and settings:
 In
order to view the lesson videos or play the sound files over the
Internet, Apple's QuickTime Player v4.1.2 or higher
must be installed on your computer. Recent browsers (Netscape
Navigator/Communicator and Internet Explorer) often come with this
helper application already installed. If the QuickTime Player isn't
installed on your computer, the application can be obtained for
free from Apple.
If your school is behind a FireWall...
To allow for streaming video to get to your computer, be sure that
you select the HTTP, Port 80 Streaming
Transport option from the pop-up menu in the QuickTime Settings
Control Panel.
[You can find it by going to your Control Panels --> selecting
the QuickTime Settings option --> select the Streaming Transport
option from the pop-up menu --> then click on the HTTP, Port
80 radio button if it isn't already selected]
 In
order to view and print the handout materials Adobe's Acrobat
Reader also needs to be installed on your computer. Recent browsers
(Netscape Navigator/ Communicator and Internet Explorer) also often
come with this helper application already installed. If Adobe's
Acrobat Reader isn't installed on your computer, the application
can be obtained for free from Adobe.
A recent browser
(4.0 or higher) and a high-speed Internet connection (56k or higher)
is also recommended.
